This beautiful vintage cookie tin originally held Walkers Pure Butter Shortbread Petti Coat Tails, a classic luxury treat from Scotland. The lid features a replica of S. Joy's 1905 painting entitled "Flora McDonald's Farewell to Bonnie Prince Charlie" which depicts the historical 1746 escape event where she helped the Young Pretender flee after the Battle of Culloden. The bottom features the story of the Scottish Shortbread Company and the history of the painting. The background and sides have the classic Scottish red plaid design.
It measures 6 5/8" long, 6 1/2" wide, and 2" high. The outside is in excellent vintage condition. The inside has a few spots as pictured. Please see all photos for condition details.
