This gorgeous vintage Brush McCoy vase dates to the 1930s and features their iconic green onyx drip glaze that made the company a standout of early 20th-century American art pottery. It features various shades of light and dark greens, charcoal, and a hint of blue glazes blended together in a beautiful flowing design, creating a one-of-a-kind pattern on each piece.
While unmarked, this vase is a well-documented Brush McCoy form with glaze and construction details consistent with the company’s known 1930s production. It has a fully glazed interior and a dry foot. It measures approximately 6 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" wide, with a 2 3/4" top opening and weighs a hefty 2 pounds. It is in very good vintage condition for it's age with no chips or cracks. There are a couple manufacturing anomalies and some moderate crazing appropriate for its age, none of which are very noticeable or take away from its beauty and function. Please see all photos for condition details.
Use it for flowers or just as a decorative piece. Either way, it's organic feel will enhance any room's decor!
