This MCM fun floral rocks glass was made by Georges Briard in the 1950's in his Anemone Poppies pattern. Featuring poppies in red, blue, and pinkish purple all around it, this pattern is hard to come by and very collectible.
It measures 4 1/8" tall, 3 1/4" wide, and has a 13 ounce capacity. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but please note there are some scratches with the worst one pictured, and it is priced accordingly.
Georges Briard (birth name Jascha Brojdo) was a Ukrainian immigrant and graduate of the Chicago Institute of Art, and made these in the 1950's in the Forbidden Fruit Border pattern. This line of glassware was originally sold in high end department stores like Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.
Please note that vintage and hand blown glass pieces may have manufacturing flaws such as air bubbles, seams, pontil marks, and other imperfections. These anomalies are not considered damage as they are inherent to the methods and/or the time period in which they were made.
