These vintage ceramic plates were designed by Colin Cowie for J. C. Penney in the 1970's in his Lotus Leaf Pattern. They feature a textured ribbed design that flares out from the center on an off-white background with tan accents. Weighing over one pound each, they are very sturdy as well.
Though they are considered salad plates, with an 8 7/8" diameter they are also perfect for using as small dinner or tapas plates, appetizer plates, snack plates, etc. Their organic vibe and neutral colors will bring a touch of nature to your dinner table without overshadowing the food served on them.
Four of them are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, and some light wear marks. The fifth one has a couple small chips as pictured, and they are priced accordingly. Please see all photos for condition details.
