These large shimmery capiz shell oval placements will brighten up any table! They were made in the Philippines, where capiz shells are a staple of their culture and used in many decor items.
They have a metal rim and thin cork backing, measure 18" long by 12" wide, and weigh approximately one pound each. They are white with a pale yellow tinge to them. They are in good vintage condition for their age, but do have some condition issues, including a few cracks and discolorations as pictured and are priced accordingly. In addition to placemats, they could also be used as interesting wall decor.
