This handcrafted sculpted clay elephant figurine was made by Artesania Rinconada in Uruguay in the 1980's. He features a kneeling, good luck trunk up pose, and is signed by the artist.
He measures 4 5/8" wide, 3" high, and 2" deep, and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Artesania Rinconada translates to "Corner Art", and was started in Urugquay by twin brothers Jesus and Javier Carbajales. They are no longer in business, but handcrafted hundreds of detailed figurine designs which have become very collectible.
