Create an entire standing bird family in your birthstone or favorite colors! Great gift for Mother's day and Baby Showers! Pictured here are one large "Momma" bird in April Birthstone--Diamond / Clear cathedral glass; three medium "brother sister child" birds in December--Blue Topaz / Medium Blue cathedral Glass, August--Peridot / Light Green cathedral glass, and March--Aquamarine / Light Aqua cathedral glass; and one small "baby" bird in February--Amethyst / Purple cathedral glass. Each size of bird is available in any of the twelve birthstone colors, or in any other custom color you desire. Note that the June birthstone color listed is pearl using white opalescent glass. If you want the purple alexandrite color for June instead, order the February purple cathedral as there is only one shade of purple available. All birds will have a yellow opalescent glass beak and 16 gauge wire for their legs.
The birds come in three sizes and prices:
Baby, Small: Body size approx. 3.5" wide x 2" tall, standing height with legs approx. 2.75" for $15.00 each
Brother or Sister, Medium: Body size approx. 4" wide x 2.25" tall, standing height with legs approx. 3.25" for $17.00 each
Momma or Daddy, Large: Body size approx. 4.5" wide x 2.75" tall, standing height with legs approx. 3.5" for $18.00 each
When ordering, add one bird at a time to your cart so you can select the appropriate size and color of each, and then check out in one transaction so the combined shipping cost will calculate automatically.
I'm happy to make them in other glass colors too. Just note the type (cathedral or opalescent) and color preferred in the notes of your order, or contact me to discuss your options.
These are made to order, so will ship within 5 business days from the date of purchase. Shipping cost for the first bird is $8.90, and each additional bird is only 50 cents additional shipping.
Each piece of glass is carefully selected, cut and shaped by hand, and assembled using the copper foil method (also known as the Tiffany method.)
