This rare antique pedestal cake stand with rim was made by Heisey Glass in their Puritan #341 pattern, introduced in 1903. It features a beaded scalloped edge, paneled base with a ball pedestal. It does glow green under UV light due to its Manganese content typical in older glassware.
It measures 9 3/8" wide, 5" high, and weighs 3 pounds 5 ounces. It is in good condition for it's 100+ year old age, with no cracks or chips. There are several light scratches on the plate, which would not be seen when in use with a cake on it. There are also a few scratches on the bottom of the base. It truly is a special piece of history that has been well loved and used over the years. Please see all photos for condition details.
I personally love it's simple elegance. It would not overshadow any dessert served on it, but would make it a special event.
