This stunning antique pedestal cake stand with rim was made by Adams and Company Glass in their Palace pattern (also known as Moon and Stars), introduced in 1888. It features two rings of circles with stars in the center of them on the top, with the star pattern repeating on the pedestal and base. The top has a saw toothed lip, with a lower scalloped accent. It does glow green under UV light due to its Manganese content typical in older glassware.
It measures 10" wide, 6 5/8" high, and weighs a hefty 4 pounds 2 ounces. It is good vintage condition for its 100+ year old age, with no cracks, some wear marks, and 3 small chips on the lip and lower rim as pictured. There are also a couple bubbles and other imperfections within the glass that are manufacturing anomalies and not damage. Please see all photos for condition details.
